Elsewhere in North America and the international market, Toyota sells the E170 Corolla. You know, these ones:
But in Hong Kong, we get the E160 Corolla. Otherwise known as the what-was-tha-pfftnvm. Christ on a bike, it's so boring.

I am currently driving a '14 Corolla as a rental. Bland is the word. It goes from A to B but it is very basic. I also do not like the highway stability in the least, it tracks poorly.

Let's see ... mix Toyota Avensis, Dacia Logan and 07+ Impreza. Yup, that'll do.
Balanced on a very low level.

We don't get either of the Corollas in the U.K. We do get the Auris which I suppose is the equivalent to it but only in hatchback and estate/tourer form.

The E160 isn't available in red. The closest you can get is a colour similar to a blood clot.

The one in the first pic is alright to me. With a black leather interior, nav. and a 6 spd. i'd own it. I have 3 German cars (which i'll post around 3pm central time) and all 3 combined cost less than half a new Corolla. I'd gladly trade all three for a brand new anything, even a Corolla, but too broke to do so. Maintenance on these tings are hell (i've been turning wrenches for a living since i was 15) and would love to own an actual new car one day. Fresh from the dealer with a good maint. plan and extended warranty. You get to a point when fast cars and builds fade away, especially if broke as hell. I'm no car enthusiast but I can respect all cars, every single one ever built. I support all cars and motoring. I do not hate anything. Poeple on OPPO and Jalopnik just have a blood thirst hatred on the Corolla and Carmry for such childish reasons. Why? Steering feel? not a carbon fiber chassis V12? LOL you awesome people make me chuckle sometimes. A VW Jetta to me seems more of a poster car for blandness. It has rear drum brakes for crying out loud but since VW is German and the Germans can do no wrong, they are like Gods. My aunt has a '14 Jetta automatic and it gets her to work and back everyday. My brother has a V6 '13 Camry, gets him to the office and job sites everyday as well. We are not on a racetrack. I love OPPO for soo many reasons. Only thing that bothers me is the hate towards any car. If we are going to hate, hate on the anti-car people trying to get rid of cars all together. I'm not trying to change your opinion, we are all free to say what we want.
